Dick was a director of Public Relations & Marketing for a major US Defense Company that designed and built Torpedo and Missile Control Systems for the US Navy’s Attack Class & Ballistic Missile Submarines, plus the Systems for the Submarine Navies of Canada, Australia and India with over 40 years experience with major competitive proposals and managing Company Trade Shows marketing products worldwide including countries of Australia, Canada, France, Germany, India, Malaysia, Singapore and Sweden.
Dick is Vice President of Sales of Global Sporting Safaris and has over 40 years experience hunting and fishing in the US and many other countries with his son and partner, Rick. Dick also accompanies clients on three to four Global Sporting Safaris Hosted Wing Shooting & Fishing Trips every year to countries such as Brazil (Peacock Bass fishing), Wing Shooting in Mexico (Ducks, Geese and Quail & Dove), and Combo Wing Shooting Trips to Argentina (Ducks, Dove, Pigeon, Perdiz, Pheasant & Geese). These Global Sporting safaris Hosted Wing Shooting & Fishing Trips are very memorable trips where I reserve the entire Lode exclusively for our Hosted Group. Rick Kennerknecht has been involved in the shooting and hunting industry since 1983. In 1988, he took up Sporting Clays and won the first tournament he entered, the California State Championships. Later that year he earned a spot the U.S.S.C.A. All American Sporting Clays Team and held that spot for 3 years. He was also a team Member of Team USA and represented the United States in Switzerland, Portugal and England and took the Team Gold Medal against the French 2 years in a row in Ball Trap Pro. During this same time period, Rick amazed audiences in the US & Europe with his shooting exhibitions.
In 1991 Rick started Global Sporting Safaris, a hunting and fishing travel agency. In 2002, Rick’s father Dick Kennerknecht joined Global Sporting Safaris (GSS) and gave the company incredible growth with his natural sales ability. In 2007, GSS expanded once again with a great dedicated staff and has continued to develop the business in to one of the largest hunting and fishing travel agencies in the United States. GSS currently represents over 50 outfitters in 30 countries. Rick is President and CEO of Global Sporting Safaris.
Rick has hunted and fished with his father since the age of 12. He has hunted on 5 continents and registered over 50 trophies with Safari Club International since 2005. He enjoys hunting and fishing with his father and son Cody. He has recently taken up crossbow hunting with his new weapon of choice, a TenPoint Crossbow. Rick is a Life Member of the NRA, SCI and CRPA and many other conservation organizations.

A husband and father first and foremeost, Derek joined the GSS team in 2011 promoting archery and rifle big game hunts and fishing excursions world wide. His passion for hunting, fishing and international travel has taken him to all regions of the globe: the North and South Pacific including Hawaii, Fiji and New Zealand; North America throughout the lower 48 states, Mexico, Canada, Alaska, Greenland, the Bahammas and the Carribbean; Costa Rica in Central America; South America from the Amazon Rainforest of Peru to Argentina; Europe from England to Spain; Namibia and South Africa on the African continent and to Asia including China and multiple trips to Kyrgyzstan.
Derek brings a wealth of global hunting and fishing knowledge to the GSS team from not only his travels but also from his more than 10 years experience working as a professional hunting and fishing guide before graduating from the University of Wyoming in 2008.
After proposing to his wife on the Great Wall of China Derek and his wife Cassie were married in 2009 and happily reside in Casper, WY with their daughter Emily.
An experienced environmental field biologist and outdoors guide, Adrian Skok holds degrees in the Honours Program majoring in both Biology and Environmental Resource Sciences. Adrian has conducted biologic field research ranging from genetic and reproductive success of shorebirds and waterfowl across the Canadian Arctic, to all-species productivity studies in the Sonoran and Mojave deserts of the American Southwest. More recently, Adrian has been involved in fisheries, furbearer and big mammal projects across central Canada, consulting hand in hand with government, private agencies and First Nations. Such exposure has instilled a holistic approach in terms of hunting & angling, culinary and cultural practices within the context of ethics, conservation and sustainability.
In addition, Adrian is a past member of the Canadian Armed Forces, serving 7 years as an infantry rifleman and weapons detachment commander. Other work includes positions as a conservation specialist with Ducks Unlimited Canada, and a fishing, waterfowl and big-game hunting guide across Canada. Caribou, Moose and Musk ox are of particular interest. Building on these experiences Adrian is also involved in outdoor journalism, founding social-media sites, volunteering as a youth hunting mentor and pursuing amateur outdoor video & photography.
A dual Canadian/US citizen and trilingual in English, Russian and French has enabled Adrian to live and pursued his interests across North America, Europe and Africa. A passionate, results-oriented attitude helps Adrian become deeply involved in his areas of interests, being the outdoors and sustainable resource harvest, while maintaining its positive image and communication.

Bedazzled by the natural environment at a young age, Philip Wilson took to the woods and learned rapidly about the outdoors, predator- prey influences on surrounding landscapes, and how to live sustainably off the land. Whether hunting, trapping, fishing, boiling maple syrup, cultivating a one- acre organic vegetable garden, or simply collecting wild edibles; Philip embodies the essence of a hunter and gatherer. Philip’s thirst for knowledge challenged him to pursue post-secondary education, earning two diplomas in Fish and Wildlife Management, an honors degree in Wildlife Biology, and is completing a Master’s of Science degree on wintering waterfowl.
Philip’s in depth knowledge of resource management is a culmination from years of experience as a wildlife biologist gained through various position across Canada and internationally. He has worked in the field of biological research and management on a diverse array of projects including: moose calf collaring, gray wolf and cougar trapping and collaring in the Albertan Rocky Mountains, waterfowl banding in the arctic, documenting wintering waterfowl during low-level aerial surveys over the lower Great Lakes, and most recently manages a wildlife program for the Department of National Defense.
A worldly traveler, Philip has visited many countries in the Americas and Africa. His future endeavors include travelling the far reaches of earth in pursuit of fish and game, gaining cultural experiences, and engaging directly at grassroots levels of conservation. Philip prides himself on his commitment to conservation and harvesting game across his home province of Ontario. As the newest member of Global Sporting Safaris, Philip is pleased to offer great opportunities for the avid outdoors man.
