Spring Snow Goose Hunting

Spring Snow hunter in Manitoba
Your hunting day will start out with coffee and muffins shortly after you wake up. You will either follow or ride with your guide to the goose hunting location where you will be involved in the morning’s ritual of setting up goose decoys and helping to put the finishing touches on the layout blinds. You will be spring goose hunting over some of the finest decoys made. We use Big Foot full bodies, Greenhead Gear motion full bodies, and Sillosocks. We also use a high tech e-caller with digitally recorded live snow geese. These hunts can be extremely muddy as we are goose hunting in spring thaw conditions, so bring boots and camo gear that can withstand mud. We will take a short, in field break for lunch supplied by your guide around noon. Typically Spring Snow Goose hunts will run until 5:00 each day. The snow goose decoys will then be picked up and we will drive back to the hotel for dinner and relaxation. These hunts produce some beautiful snows and blues perfect for the wall!

Spring Snow Goose Hunting Guides

Our snow goose hunting guides are fully licensed and trained in life saving and wilderness skills. Our main waterfowl guide, Kris Wujcik, who is also the owner, is an accomplished waterfowler. His calling skills are second to none, come witness snow geese circle as Kris talks them in, feet down.

Waterfowl hunters should bring: warm waterproof camo clothing, face mask, waterproof boots, waders, shotguns in 10 or 12 gauge (3 or 3 1/2 preferred), steel shot 1550fps in 2's and BB heavy shot in 4's and 2's. You are allowed to bring across 200 rounds of shotshells by car. Check with your flight carrier for weight limitations by air. We stock and can pick up your shotshells for you at fair market value. You can bring your own coolers or you can purchases one from us at fair market value. You are welcome to bring your hunting dog but we will only use them on afternoon hunts as our guides have well trained retrievers and take great pride in them.
