Rods and fishing licenses are available in camp. Lures can also be purchased or bring a few of your favorites from home.  Spoons, jigs and minnow lures are a good choice for Trout and marauding Pike, while Grayling love little spoons and inline spinners. MOOSE HUNTING MANITOBA CONDITIONS AND SETTING

This is fall in Canada’s boreal forest. Black spruce dominates upland areas, and the willows, alders, and tamarack will be broadcasting their golden hues in lower, wetter spots. Cool nights and morning frosts should be expected, which generally eliminates biting insects this time of year. Expect temperatures to hover around the freezing mark, but colder or warmer conditions and stormy weather could always be possible.  Ideal hunting conditions are cold, calm days where moose calls echo across the water for miles and incoming bulls can hear before they are seen. The majority of the day will be spent on or near the water either searching for moose by boat, or calling from a strategic location onshore at the water’s edge.  Blueberries and Cranberries should are also ripe and can be collected by the handful while hunting in this scenic & silent landscape.
