 At Plumas, our home based camp located 2 hours north west of Winnipeg, we host hunts for spring bear and muzzleloader and rifle deer hunts. The out camp at Russell located along the Manitoba and Saskatchewan border, runs from late August until end of October. We host fall bear and waterfowl hunts including ducks and snows, blues and Canada geese. The friendly staff and guides at Big Grass can also take you to fall bear sites using archery muzzleloader and rifle.
 Our hunting areas consist of private agricultural land which continues to produce record breaking wildlife species of black bear and mature, large-bodied bucks. The fall migration of huge flights of snows, blues, Canada geese and several species of ducks continues to challenge the expertise of any 10- or 12-gauge. Spring and Fall Bear season showed a great 75% color phase with weights of 250-650 lbs, heights of 6.5ft and a 95% success rate.
We take pride in our guiding staff-experience and knowledge of the outdoors combined with the dedication to offer clients a hunt second to none. Use of top of the line equipment, including quads and 4x4s which can be valuable in the most inclement conditions and roughest terrain, will help to make your experience in Manitoba one to remember and tell others. How to reach us
Flying
Arrive at Winnipeg International Airport or Regina International Airport and we will pick you up or provide a Rent a Car for you to drive to Plumas or Russell.
Driving
Enter at Canada Emerson, Nd. There is a 2.5 hour drive to Plumas or a 4.5 hour drive to Russell. Big Grass will provide you with a map upon booking.

Deposit and Cancellation Policies
Deposit Policy: A 50% Deposit is required to
reserve your requested hunt dates. The Deposit is not refundable,
but may be applied to a future trip, the same season or the following
season. Full payment is due 60 days in advance of your scheduled
hunt. We recommend trip cancellation insurance, available from
your insurance courier, travel agency or booking agency. |
