Created and designed for true sportsmen and women - we offer trip flexibility and endless shooting opportunities just minutes from the lodge. Individually designed to be individually enjoyed -- this destination provides a truly custom sporting experience each day of the trip.

It's where the Rio Negro meets Uruguay's agriculture capitol, and where a fortunate few experience shooting of a lifetime.

Location(s) of Hunting Trips

Hidden in southeastern South America, Uruguay is a country small in size and population, but huge in sporting opportunity. The small friendly country is overshadowed by Brazilian wetlands to its north and Argentina's Cordoba to its west. The areas that make up Uruguay and Argentina's famous wing shooting provinces are split by the Uruguay River and its tributaries. The main tributary, the Rio Negro is the home to the lifeline for South America's famed wing shooting. These estuaries, tributaries, and rivers create a delta in western Uruguay that has forever been providing the continent's southern provinces with the greatest hunting destinations in South America. The expanses of estuaries, marshes, and agriculture provide opportunities to hunt destinations rivaled only by the Argentina of the 1970's. With the growth and expansion of outfitters across the eastern provinces of Argentina, Uruguay has become the new frontier for traditional sportsmen and woman seeking secluded, unpressured destinations.

Arrival/Departure Airport(s)

If you departure country is the United States of America, there are several daily direct flights to Ezeiza International Airport (EZE), in Buenos Aires / Carrasco Int. airport in Uruguay, from main cities such as New York, Washington DC, Dallas, Miami, Atlanta, Chicago among others. United Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Airlines, Aerolíneas Argentinas all travel to Argentina/URUGUAY.

If you are traveling from a main European city, please check with Lufthansa, Alitalia, Iberia, British Airways, Air France, Varig and Aerolíneas Argentinas, as they offer frequent flights to Ezeiza or Carrasco Airport Uruguay.

After clearing Immigration and Customs in Manaus, you will be met by an Amazon Tours representative who will transfer you to the charter terminal for your flight to Barcelos.

Mode of Transportation

Charter flights can be arranged from Buenos Aires to the lodge, which takes just under an hour and ½ driving time.

An alternative option is to take a commercial flight from Buenos Aires to Carrasco Airport in Montevideo (45 minutes) and then continue with ground transportation for 350KM (approximately 3½ hours). This option is more economical.

Yet another option is to take a charter from Montevideo Carrasco airport, an hour and 1/2 flight, and then land into Paysandú airport where you would then take a van to drive 20 minutes to the lodge.

Species Available

Dove Hunting
Pure volume!
The dove hunting is comparable only to that of the Cordoba of the 1970's. Dove hunts are made close to the estancia, and our guests have the luxury of shooting as many doves as they desire.

Duck Hunting
Ducks that have never seen decoys!
Duck hunts are made in close proximity over beautiful lagoons and potholes. The volume of ducks can only be measured by the number of shells expended, and our guests can expect close range, unpressured, decoying birds.

Decoyed Pigeon Hunting
Pigeons that redefine decoying!
This challenging opportunity has quickly become a favorite among our guests, as it provides a unique opportunity to hunt a species with great speed and toughness. Hunts are made in close proximity, and the pigeon flight begins minutes after sun up.

Perdiz Hunting - Over Pointing Dogs
A bird so sporty you may skip high volume!
The sporty Perdiz offers our guests a morning away from high volume and a leisurely upland bird hunt over English setters or Brittany spaniels. Our guests can expect 25-50 flushes in a morning, well trained pointers, and a speedy, challenging upland bird.

Golden Dorado Fishing
Catch! Release! Repeat!
A chance to get out of the field and onto the water, our Golden Dorado fishing has quickly become our most popular opportunity. Make a switch from high-volume shooting to heart-pounding fishing, and hang a golden Dorado on light tackle.
