We are a 70,000 acre working ranch located in west-central South Dakota.
Transportation to the hunting area and back to the lodge is by truck provided by the ranch. Spotting is done by truck and walking. All hunting is fair chase spot and stalk or by blinds.
We strife ourselves in keeping a clean, comfortable lodge, that will give you that “home away from home” feeling. You will enjoy the large windows are outside deck that will provide a gorgeous view of the nature surrounding you.
Our lodge sleeps up to 6 adults. Couples are welcome, as two of our beds are full sized. We have two full bathrooms (with shower/tub) stocked with towels.
For your convenience we provide a telephone (calling cards are needed and can be purchased from us), wireless internet (for who need to stay in tough with the real world), satellite TV, and VCR/DVD.
Meals
A refrigerator and microwave are also provided for you for those “extra” that you may have brought. A Washer & Dryer are also available at the lodge.
Alcohol is allowed, but not provided.

We offer hunts for the Merriam Prairie Spring Turkey (2 –Tom tags) and the Black Hills Turkey (1-Tom tag) in South Dakota. South Dakota Merriam Spring Turkey tags are guaranteed Tags through the state lottery and Black Hills tags are available through the state lottery as well and are also Guaranteed Tags.
We provide our Merriam turkey hunters with Double Bull Blinds and turkey decoys.
South Dakota Turkey Hunting -This hunt is first class all the way around, “A true Merriam Turkey hunt.” Our Merriam Turkey’s weigh from 16 to 22 pounds, with a spur length range from ¾ to 1 ¾, and beards from 8 to 10+ inches. Weather around this time of year will range from 40° to 70° F during the day and from 25° to 45° at night.
On all of our fully guided Merriam turkey hunts, you will be accompanied with a turkey guide that has pre-scouted areas, full of wild turkeys awaiting your arrival. The semi-guided Merriam turkey hunts will allow the more experienced hunters to break away and hunt on their own in pre-scouted areas. We offer assistance with all South Dakota hunting applications for archery and/or firearms hunting. Bow hunting is unlimited (guaranteed tag) and shotgun hunting is by a South Dakota lottery drawing (almost guaranteed). South Dakota drawings are held in February, March, and April. We can sometimes get Merriam Turkey tags in May.

Please bring some good cold and warm weather gear with you including rain gear. Weather in and around the Rocky Mountains change quickly. An equipment list will be supplied once your reservations are booked with a deposit.
The elevation of this ranch is 2250 to 3000 foot above sea level. Most of the hunting is on flat ground to rolling hills.
A fair to moderate condition should be required to safely enjoy hunting on this ranch. Please advise us of any health problems so that we can make arrangements to see that you have the best possible hunt.
