Exceptional South Dakota Trophy Mule deer hunting is found here at our camps in South Dakota. These large western Mule deer bucks are managed to provide the hunter with options of coming season after season to beat last year’s trophy. Guaranteed tags and long bow season provide exciting trophy whitetail deer hunting. Stands are located between feeding areas, watering holes, and bedding areas. Most Mule deer hunting is done by spot and stock methods. Stands and blinds are in the field year around allowing game to be a custom to their appearance. Extra stands and blinds are ready to be set into new areas as needed with deer patterns changing throughout the fall hunting season. Trophy Mule Deer Bucks will range from 140 class to 160 plus.

You will be hunting out of permanent and portable blinds. You can expect to see big bodied bucks. It is not uncommon to see 70 to 100 deer in a day’s hunt. Mule deer are abundant and there are opportunities to shoot a nice trophy. Our guides will make sure that you have the opportunity of seeing and taking a nice trophy home. We have been able to establish good land management practices and have a positive impact on the management of our Mule deer population.
With all of this land, you can be assured that you will not be hunting land that has already been hunted during the same hunting season.

The hunts can be semi-guided or fully guided, your choice, and you will know the property boundaries and the best spots to hunt. Your guide will be a local resident who has been hunting and ranching in the area for many years. This ensures that they know the lay of the land and how the animals typically behave out here.

If you have always dreamed of having a place to yourself, you will have your wishes come true since we limit the number of hunters we take each year. Our Trophy Deer hunts are limited so, book a trip now and you will have the opportunity to harvest one of these South Dakota trophy mule deer on your next Deer Hunting trip.

South Dakota Antelope Hunting

Antelope hunting is one of our favorite hunts, something every big game enthusiast should experience. From the wide-open grasslands they call home to their unique defense mechanisms, antelope present hunters with an appealing set of challenges seldom seen with other big game species. Freely roaming herds of 20-100 antelope constantly catch your eye along our private hillsides of over 70,000 plus acres of private and leased land. We look over one herd, if you don't find what you like; we move over the hill and glass the next herd. Distance is deceiving and some shots can really test your skill, but there will be a shot opportunity. Most times we can eventually get stalked within 200 yards for a clean shot. Previously harvested bucks have averaged 14 1/2 inch to bucks into the 17 inch range. From getting out in the field, locating bucks and closing the deal, South Dakota antelope hunting is an experience unto itself. If you've never tried it before, its time you started planning your own antelope hunting adventure.

With our large number of antelope, we've begun archery antelope hunting (this is a guaranteed license). We set up blinds near water tanks or antelope crossings and simply wait for them. We also do spot and stalk and decoy archery hunts, so it depends on the desire of each individual hunter as to which method we use. Although archery antelope hunting is challenging, depending on the hunter the success can be very rewarding. The archery season begins around the 3rd weekend of August.

This is also a great hunt for kids because of the large numbers of antelope that we will see in a day. No slow times, if you stop to glass you will probably be able to see antelope somewhere.

Our guided antelope hunts are designed to give the hunter the best opportunity to harvest a trophy buck.

South Dakota Bison Hunting

American Bison hunts are offered at certain times of the year. Bison are hunted throughout the rolling hills of South Dakota. The buffalo range from mature cows, 2-4 year old bulls, and 5 year old plus trophy bulls that are wild.

A guide will drive you out to the herd, that are roaming in 2,000 plus acres and you will harvest the buffalo of your choice. The bison you are looking for will be spotted and be stalked within a 125 yards or less. We will field dress the buffalo before delivering it to the processing plant and taxidermist.

Buffalo are very large animals ranging from 1200 to 2000 pounds. It is recommended to use a .30 caliber or larger for harvesting this great animal. We also offer archery hunts for buffalo. Combinations with buffalo hunts go great: pheasant, prairie chicken, coyote or other hunts.
