Newfoundland Moose Hunts
starting at $3,900.00!

New Foundland Moose HuntingMoose were introduced to the Canadian province of Newfoundland in 1906.  Since that time, the moose population has expanded to approximately 120,000 animals due in large part to the excellent habitat available on the island.  Many areas of the province boast the highest moose densities in the world.

A large bull moose, standing higher than a large saddle horse and sporting a massive antler display, represents an imposing and challenging quarry.  The rut, considered by many hunters to be the most successful time for moose hunting, runs from late September to early November.  Notwithstanding the breeding season, some of the very best times to hunt moose are post-rut during the latter part of November.  The moose in Newfoundland classified as the "Eastern Canada" sub-species for record-keeping purposes by the Boone and Crockett Club, Pope and Young Club and Safari Club International.  Though generally smaller in body and antler size than their Alaska-Yukon cousins, moose in Newfoundland are no less challenging to hunt.

The hunts at our main lodge yield average moose from 30 to 40 inches; however, New Foundland Moose Huntingeach hunting location will produce a couple of larger trophies each year.  These sites offer all the amenities of home, yet we do use various spike camps for “overnighters” away from the main lodge.  Fly-in moose hunts are fairly tough and one would need to be in reasonable shape to expect excellent results.  Our ground-access lodge offers moose hunting as good as our fly-in hunts yet are less physically demanding and should be considered if you are not in reasonable physical condition. However, the “ground-access” lodge can offer the fit hunter the adventure of a lifetime as we have such a vast area you can literally hunt on foot every day in different locations, a fabulous moose hunt indeed for any hunter.
