This outfitter offers 6-day Mountain Goat hunting in the remote mountainous region of our exclusive 1250 sq. mile guiding territory. They have 3 different fly-in backcountry lakes from which to hunt the rugged Mountain Goat. These lakes are only accessible by float plane so hunting pressure is next to nothing. No more than 3 mountain goats a year are taken in this territory ensuring a high success rate. These trophy class Mountain goats will average 9" and go up to 10 1/2".
All locations are equipped with cabins with wood stoves for heat, propane cook stoves, and propane lights for night.
Transportation on the lake is by boat, we stop at various vantage points where we use spotting scopes to look size up the goats. When a trophy mountain goat is located and is in a favorable location, we make our stalk up the mountain.
This Outfitter has been hunting these areas for over 25 years; we have an excellent understanding of their habits, where they live and how to get them. We hunt mountain goat from late August to mid September. The goat hides at this time of year are quality, as the mountain nights are cold and their winter hair is beginning to grow making for an exceptional trophy. All of the Mountain Goat hunting trips include hunting license and tag, meals, accommodations while in the territory, all transportation within the territory, including float plane and vehicle, skinning and care for the hide, horns and meat.
