Before dinner you will be served game, a wide variety of cheeses, ham, olives and drinks prior to dinner. Dinner consists of three courses (starter, a main course and dessert).

The lodge is fully equipped with trucks, vans, boats and experienced guides who know every area of the waterfowl locations and flyways to fulfill the expectations of all of the hunters.

Argentina Big Game huntingArgentina Duck Hunts - Duck hunting is the main activity in this area and Argentina is, without a doubt, a great choice particularly duck hunting. This area in Guamini has a large variety of different ducks including : White-faced Whistling-duck, Yellow-billed Pintail, , Red Shoveler, Cinnamon Teal, White-cheeked Pintail, , Rosy-billed Pochard, and Southern Wigeon. The unique area and wealth of water including lagoons, streams, lakes and marshes, turn this area into a particularly attractive habitat for ducks and a variety of aquatic animal species.

For the duck hunting, that takes part in the morning or in the afternoon; local hunters are placed individually or in pairs in different areas previously selected by the head guide. Every hunter is accompanied by a guide and a bird boy, to the hunting place in 4x4 light trucks or vans. Every hunter blind will have decoys set up, and every hunter will be assisted by a bird-boy whose job is to make sure the hunter’s needs are catered for. Bird-boys will use typical duck calls. Our duck hunts typically produce 20-25 ducks per shooter within the mornings first hour of shooting.

Argentina Dove Hunts - The dove hunting normally takes part during the afternoon, and in this area you will have the chance to shoot more than 1000 -1500 cartridges per outing. Most of the main dove flyways are located a 20-30 minute drive.

Argentina Pigeon Hunting - Decoying Pigeon Hunting is also available to hunt in this area. Scouts are sent out to find the pigeon feeding areas and flyways, and blinds are built and decoys set out prior to the hunters arriving. At times, pigeon hunting is very good on the island. The Pigeon Hunts normally produce 45-90 pigeons per blind with both decoying pigeons and pass shooting.

Argentina Pheasant Hunting - The ring neck pheasant hunting is done on the island using the Lodge dogs and typically produces limits of fivepheasants per hunter. During our pheasant hunts, our hunters often shoot multiple island hares that are typically 10-15 lbs. in size.

Argentina Perdiz Hunting - There are some perdiz on the island but the best perdiz hunting is on the mainland on leased farmlands using pointing dogs. The perdiz limit is eight birds per hunter.

Argentina Goose Hunting - The Argentine Government has closed Goose Hunting in the Guamini area at this time. Hopefully goose hunting will open back up in this area soon.

Climatic Considerations

During May thru August during the hunting season, the temperatures are normally  in the 30’s-40’s during the early morning and late evening , and mid day temperatures in May are normally in the 48 -68 degrees, very pleasant hunting weather at midday and early afternoon; cool during the rest of the day

During June, there are slightly lower temperatures, with an average of 65 degrees during the day and 40 degrees during night or early morning. By the end of June, weather gets a little colder. There are also light rains during these months

Hunt Difficulty/Health Level

Considering that most all of our hunting is done within 10-40 minutes of the Lodge, there are no long drives to any of the shooting areas.  As a consequence, we are able to accommodate most all physical levels, including the elderly and those with health problems. Each shooting area will have at least one bird boy to assist the hunter, carry his gun and load hunter gun if desired, and chairs are provided for duck hunts and can be provided for dove and pigeon hunts. The only walking required is for the perdiz and pheasant hunting and should the client tire after walking a while, he/she can be transported back to the Lodge due to the close proximity of the shooting areas.
