We are a family base business that has been moose and whitetail deer hunting in Saskatchewan and in the area for thirty years. We take pride and dedication in the hunts we provide. We take part in our clients hunts, not sitting on the side lines. Alaine does the home cooked meals and I myself guide, scout and set up stand locations. I have guided several years for a successful Whitetail Deer and Black Bear Outfitter with many satisfied returning clients. I have also appeared on the Buck Master TV show harvesting game and setting up film locations for them in Saskatchewan.
We are consistently making changes to improve our services. These changes are to provide our clients with better services and hunting opportunities.
The guides we use are local residents and some of them are the trappers of the area. To be better specializing with our hunts, we use our guides with the game they are good at harvesting to ensure our clients success. Our guides can call them in close for you.
We have a large area to serve you from with many lakes, marshes, water ways, and large dense forests. We have forest fringe area and deep forested regions to hunt from to provide a variety of hunts. With lakes that have large Northern Pike and large Walleye to fish for.
We have three camps to hunt and fish from. Our main camp has power, hot showers, and new sleeping quarters and is located just off the main road. The two outpost camps are wood frame cabins with wood heat, generator power, and the rustic appeal of the outdoors. These camps are only accessible by ATV or by boat. We get you back deep in the woods where others cannot go.
We hunt Spring Black Bear, Fall Black Bear, and Whitetail out of our main camp. Moose is hunted out of the outposts. Bear and Whitetail can be taken from the outposts as well, but this will depend on Mother Nature and if the outpost camps are accessible. We always do our best to accommodate our clients.
Transportation to the hunting area and back to the lodge is by truck provided by the ranch. Spotting is done by truck and walking. All hunting is fair chase spot and stalk or by blinds.
Saskatoon, Saskatchewan is the closest airport to our lodge. It is a 4.5 hour drive from the airport to Delta. You can rent a vehicle from there and drive up to the camp. If you want to leave the planning to someone else, you can get a hold of our travel agent, on our website, and Cathy will be more than happy to arrange everything for you. If you prefer to have someone pick you up at the airport, we can arrange that for you for a nominal fee.
Our clients that wanted to bring their meat back with them drove their own vehicles up to camp. The one that drove from Allans Town, PA said that it took them 32 hours of driving time. There were 3 of them to share the driving.
At main camp, we have a row of bunk houses. Each room has a double bed and a couple of rooms have a set of bunk beds. Each room also has a night table with lamp, chair, storage shelf, electric heater and hooks on the wall for clothes.
Across from the bunk houses is a second building with 2 washrooms and a storage room. Each washroom has a flush toilet, shower and sink. The storage room has a holding tank for clean water, pressure pump and an on demand water heater. The third building is our cook house with 1 room for storage with shelves and 2 freezers. A second room is for storage and will soon be turned into cooks quarters. The main room is the dining room/kitchen/living room. Here we have a table for 12, a hide-a-bed for a comfy sit, and satellite TV.
At each of the outposts, we have 2 wood cabins for the hunters. Each cabin has 2 sets of bunk beds, a wood stove and a sink. There is also a cabin for the guides and a cook house for dining and the cooks accommodations. It is also heated by wood, powered with a 5000 watt generator and seats 10 for a meal.
All food is supplied for our hunters. Your morning can start out with bacon and eggs or pancakes and sausage, for example. For the noon meal, it will be a large meal for bear hunting and a smaller meal for Moose and Deer. The evening meal will be smaller for bear hunters and large for Moose and Deer hunters. Something large meals will be roast beef, potato, vegetables and dessert or bar-b-que hamburgers with French fries and veggie sticks; for example. Water, pop, milk, juice and cool aid will be available and coffee is always on.
Saskatchewan Bear Hunting
Bear hunts are done over baits. After lunch depending on how far out we go get you to your stand. Sit until dark then we pick you up and back to camp for a late supper and rest. After the 20th of May you could add fishing in the morning of a fee to fill your day.
Our bear hunting area is 500 square miles of prime Black Bear area. Saskatchewan black bears population is about 30% color phase with colors ranging from black, brown, blond, and cinnamon. Saskatchewan law allows hunters to use food supplements to entice bear into shooting range. This allows our hunters to see more than one bear during a hunt. This also allows our hunters to observe bears and how they behave in the forest. An ongoing government study in the area show the bear population has tripled since 2005. Our average color phase ratio is 40%. We have had some spring bears that have weight as much as 300lbs and larger, other bores have had a scull size as large as 21.5-inches and in color phase. We recommend 30 caliber or larger for these large bores.

Saskatchewan Whitetail Hunting
Whitetail hunts are done over baits. The day starts with a large breakfast then out to your stand for the day; with a bagged lunch. Once the hunting day is done, it is off to camp for supper and relax.
Saskatchewan has the second largest herd of Whitetail in North America. The Saskatchewan Whitetail deer have some of the best genetics growing them strong and producing large body size. The Whitetail deer in Saskatchewan needs strong genetics to survive predators such as bears, wolves, and coyotes; also the severe Saskatchewan winters. Saskatchewan deer are known for their very large mass and heavy horns. The area we hunt has two distinct eco systems. First eco system is the forest that has meadows, thick willow and large forested areas for deer to hind and flourish. This area is also hard to get to; only by quad and boat in the early fall. The second eco system is the forest fringe. This system will get the best nutrition to the deer feeding on the farm land then going back deep in the forest for cover. This area is also next to a wildlife preserve allowing big whitetails to hide untouched by hunters. These areas with their remoteness will offer our hunters the possibility of harvesting large trophy animals. The area we hunt is 430 square miles of prime Whitetail area. We encourage our clients to harvest 140-inch antler deer or larger. We also encourage our clients to use a 30 calibers or larger rifle for the large body deer and thick bush. Check our INFO page for Canadian Government site for firearm forms and information needed for proper firearm procedures at the US &Canada border. Check our PRICING page for current pricing. A non-refundable deposit is required to hold your week of hunting.
Saskatchewan law allows outfitters to use food supplements to entice the deer. We use these supplements to draw in the does that the bucks are looking for during the rut. This keeps bucks in the area that is hunted by our clients. We use our does as our bait!
Canada Moose Hunting
Moose hunts are all at our outposts. Once you arrive to main camp we have a short meeting and off to the outposts. The day starts with breakfast the out for the morning call. Then back to the outpost about 10 to 11 am. (We do not hunt all day for the moose are nocturnal and bed down during the day. Then we can do some drives to push the moose out in areas we do not call. Ten we take you back out to do an evening call at about 4:30 pm until dark. After evening calling it is back to camp for supper and relaxing. (With moose being so large, we help one another to retrieve your trophy.)
We start by doing some pre scouting to see where Bulls are calling in our area. Your adventure begins when you get to camp at about noon. We then have a short briefing with questions and answers. Then go out to our remote outpost camps (for our early October hunts) either by boat or by ATV. We get settled in to our cabins, have a big supper and get ready for an early morning. The morning starts off with a large breakfast. Then you are off with your guide in one of our boats to hunt for the morning. We call in the mornings and in the evenings when the bulls are most active. With moose being nocturnal animals, it does not help calling in mid day when they are bedded down. Moose being such a large animal, we will help each other when a client gets their moose to ensure proper care of the trophy and meat. We will either pack a lunch or be back at camp for lunch. We will also use drives in the afternoon if the bulls are not calling well. We do the drives to push the moose out in the areas we do not call in. Then off with your guide for the evening calling hunt. When arriving back in the evening there will be a large supper and some good time to relax. All of our Moose hunts are one on one guided hunts. We recommend 300 magnum or equivalent.
