Caught a 26" rainbow trout lately? Watched a silver salmon dance the meringue, suspended in mid-air? We have…and we'd love to share the experience!
Welcome to our home, where we eat, sleep, breathe, catch and release some of the greatest sport fish in Alaska. This is the only “Designated Trophy Trout” area in Alaska, so if you're looking for the largest rainbows on the planet this is THE place for you.
One to One. We should probably change our name to "One-on-One Lodge" because our crew of one manager, one pilot/gourmet chef, four guides and a maid nearly outnumbers our 6-8 guests. That's an intimacy you won't find in corporate-run megalodges, and we're fanatical about showing our customers a good time!
Our lodge is located approximately 220 miles southwest of Anchorage, Alaska in the Bristol Bay, Katmai National Park, Illiamna and Lake Clark region; a premiere Alaskan destination for freshwater sport fishing.
Most of the fishing is done on our "home waters" - the Upper and Lower sections of the Copper River, and the Gibraltar River. With the use of our Cessna 206 float plane, we can also access rivers that include the New Halen, Talarik, Kvichak, Nushagak, Mulchatna, Moraine, Funnel, Battle, American, Kamishak, Amakadori, and the "Cone".
Anchorage, Alaska is well served by a number of airlines including Alaska Airlines, Delta Airlines, United Airlines and Northwest Airlines. Flight times vary, but non stop flights to Anchorage run from over 3 hours from Seattle to over 5 hours from the Chicago or Minneapolis.
Anchorage is often called the "air crossroads of the world" due to its strategic location between major population centers in North America, Europe and Asia. So we are accessible to fishermen worldwide.
From Anchorage, you will charter a flight to the village of Iliamna where our pilot will meet you for the float-plane flight to the lodge. Or if you prefer, our pilot is available to meet you in Anchorage and fly you directly to our lodge.
Our own Cessna 206 float plane is available to escort you to any of our many regional waters directly from our lodge. Daily floatplane fly-outs, jet boats, and rafting put you in the middle of one of the world’s greatest sport fisheries.
Our lodge is small and personable. You'll think you're staying at a good friend’s log cabin retreat that just happens to double as a professional fishing operation. You will enjoy an unrivaled standard of personal service and attention throughout the duration of your trip.
Come in, sit down…and take over.
Small groups of six to eight guests have the opportunity to take over our whole lodge. What an experience for you, your family, friends and fishing buddies!
Relax in the main lodge with your friends as you retrace the day's adventures; with the Alaska experience, you won't even have to embellish your fish stories. We want you to fully enjoy this mystical land of Alaska - where the only Blackberry you'll find is on a bush, and rugged, prodigious mountains sprout from the waters, seemingly for the sole purpose of making humans feel small. All the amenities you'd expect in a fine hotel are here – heat, electricity, hot water and daily maid service.
Spacious master bedrooms with wall-to-wall carpeting and private baths offer the utmost in comfort, privacy and convenience. After an exciting day of fishing or sightseeing, it's hard to beat a good night's rest in one of our cozy, comfortable beds.
If you have any special dietary needs, just let us know before your arrival and we will be sure to make the proper arrangements. Each day you'll be fed a hot meal on the river. Each evening you will enjoy hot hors d'oeuvres in the living room, with a magnificent view of the sun setting over Lake Iliamna. Our professional chef will make it hard for you to tell your daily tale to your friends in the dining room, as you'll probably be more interested in devouring the world-class gourmet meal in front of you. Then melt back into your chair, relax and take in the scenery from the comfort of our glass-enclosed lounge. If you're lucky, you may see a majestic brown bear comb the shoreline in an endless search for a meal nowhere near as tasty as the one you just consumed.

During the trophy trout fishing seasons (late spring and fall) guests come from around the globe to fish for trophy native rainbows in an unspoiled setting. During the summer and throughout the fall, the salmon provide a tremendous food source for these trophy fish, and the fishing is outstanding.
