This means we go above and beyond the requests of our hunters to create the highest success rate and comfort possible for them during their Alaskan hunting adventure. Come join us for your next Alaskan adventure…and let us make your dream a reality.

Location(s) of Hunting Trip

Our lodge is located 65 Miles Northwest of Anchorage on the beautiful Yentna River-just below Denali National Park, and the Alaska Range. Our ability to reach some of the most remote areas of Alaska will allow your hunting experience to be unique in its adventure and experiences.

Arrival/Departure Airport(s)

The primary jumping-off point for your Alaskan fishing adventure begins in Anchorage, AK. Anchorage International Airport is accessible by many major cities in the lower 48, and we recommend that you arrive one day ahead of your bush flight and stay in Anchorage overnight. This will rest you and get rid of any stress and jet lag from traveling, and prepare you for your bush flight the following day.

Mode of Transportation

Once you have arrived in Anchorage, you will then board a bush flight to Yentna River, Lake Creek, Alaska.  We recommend using Trail Ridge Air, and round-trip flights generally cost approximately $220 per person.

A wonderful addition to your Alaskan hunting experience is a fly-out trip to many of the pristine rivers of the Alaskan wilderness. We offer trips to any destination in Alaska upon request. Having the option to fly allows for us to customize your Alaskan adventure, and to further ensure a diverse hunting experience for our guests.

Lodging

Our lodging is very comfortable, located only 400 yards from the river in the pristine fish lakes region of the Yentna River, Lake Creek area, tucked away-for the true Alaskan seclusion and outdoor adventure which you, our guest, wish to achieve during your true Alaska experience. Our lodge is a 2-story home, with comfort for groups of 6 to 8 individuals. Sleeping space consists of single-size bunk beds, with storage space for gear in a communal sleeping area, and 2-bunk cabins. We keep our bookings to small families and friends groups to ensure your comfort. Downstairs is the kitchen, which boasts a small 4-person bar for gathering after a great day on the river, and a large wooden dining table for enjoying our home-cooked meals. The bathroom has a stand-up shower, clean toilet, and a sink for washing. Outside, we have a deck for gathering with overhead tents, tables and chairs, as well as fire pits and barbeque areas which we use to make meals during the summer months. Our lodge also has a living room area with couches, chairs, and wood stove for heat and comfort. A TV with limited local channels is available, along with phone and internet access for our guests.

Food and Beverages

All meals are prepared just like grandma made it…all comfort food. For example, you can expect a hot plate of pancakes or waffles for breakfast, and meat loaf or a nice pot roast and mashed potatoes for dinner, with pies, cookies and more to satisfy the sweet tooth. Like we say…welcome to the family!

Climatic Considerations

Alaska can have very veritable in weather conditions…so be prepared for any outdoor weather related situation.

The variable spring months consist of cold mornings in the 30 to 40 degree range, and afternoon highs reaching into the 50’s. The summer months can still find morning temperatures ranging into the 30 to 40 degree range, but with afternoons warming up well into the high 70’s. Rain is always on our radar.

September can be a wild month in Alaska. It can reach highs of 60 to 70 degrees during the day, only to fall below freezing at night. Swings are common from snow to rain, cold temps at mid-day and warm late afternoons are typical of the ever changing late summer/fall climate in Alaska.

Health Considerations

Self-guided hunting trips are not for the novice hunter or outdoorsman. Alaska is harsh and very unforgiving. If you are in good physical condition, and an experienced outdoorsman, you should have no problems having the adventure of a lifetime.

You will be hiking a lot and packing gear and animals. Yes it is a lot of work but if you are an outdoorsman it will be well worth the effort you put forth. Remember this is a hunt conducted in the bush of Alaska the Last frontier…and safety is our highest priority.
