Global Sporting Safaris is currently planning a “Special Hosted Hunt” sometime in December 2012 with dates to be announced depending on level of interest. Hunters will have the opportunity to hunt Duck or Dove or a combination of both. The hosted hunt offers 4-Star accommodations and 5-Star Service and will be four nights and 3 days in duration which will equate to 3 morning hunts and 3 afternoon hunts. This outfitter also offers the famous Copper Canyon tours (great for non-hunters) as well as additional packages such as big game fishing in Cabo and bird hunting in Sinaloa. Excellent Largemouth bass fishing is as close as 90 minutes away at Lake Huites.
Mexico Duck species available in the area are Pintail, Blue-winged Teal, Cinnamon Teal, Green-winged Teal, Redheads, Canvasback, Gadwall, Widgeon, Black-bellied Whistling Tree ducks (Pichiguila), Fulvous Whistling Tree ducks, Mottled Duck, Mallard, Shovler, Speckle Belly Geese and Black Brant Geese and well as Mourning Dove, White-winged Dove, Bobwhite and Gamble quail, and the exotic Elegante quail, which is native only to the state of Sinaloa in Mexico.
Contact Dick Kennerknecht toll-free at 888-850-HUNT, Extension 700 if you are interested in joining him. Hunting pressure in Mexico has been very light for the last 3 years for all species including big game so the hunting should be great!
