Lander Wyoming Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation raises $3,050 with help of Global Sporting Safaris

Apr 16, 2011/Lander, Wyoming/ – Global Sporting Safaris, Inc. (GSS) is pleased to announce that the Lander, WY, Chapter of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation’s Big Game banquet raised over $3,050 for wildlife and habitat conservation through our hunting trip donation program. Their annual dinner event was held at the Lander Community Center in Lander, Wyoming on April 16th, 2011. A group of dedicated volunteers and chairperson, Bill Durnal, put together an outstanding event. The Red Canyon (Lander) Chapter was the first Wyoming RMEF Chapter to raise over $100,000 in 2011! Jim Tonn, RMEF Wyoming Regional Director, assisted the committee in preparation as well as the evening’s events.

Global Sporting Safaris’ Katie Luthy of Sheridan, volunteered at the event and donated New Zealand and Argentina big game safaris.

“The Lander RMEF committee and volunteers are dedicated wildlife warriors! Year after year I’ve seen them raise big dollars for the RMEF, and this year was no different. In 2010 the three hunts I donated brought in over $7000 profit to this chapter. This year GSS helped the Lander RMEF raise over $3000 from our hunt donation program. That’s over $10,000 in two short years!”says Katie Luthy, Global Sporting Safaris consultant.

Global Sporting Safaris has already helped raise over $52,100 for the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation in recent years. Hunt donations, though limited, are still available for other RMEF chapters across the nation.

“We have put together three high quality hunting donations that allows Global Sporting Safaris (GSS) to give back to the ‘not for profit’ organizations that help to promote our industry and our passion,” says Rick Kennerknecht, CEO of Global Sporting Safaris.

Global Sporting Safaris (GSS) makes theses donations available to 501c3, 501c4 or 501c6 organizations and there are a limited number of hunting trips available each year. The outfitters in this fundraising program offer 5-Star accommodations, excellent hunting areas, professional staff, exquisite local cuisine and trophy quality animals. At the conclusion of the fundraising event, a GSS hunting consultant will be assigned to each auction winner. Our consultants will work with each winner to ensure that everything goes smoothly both before and after the hunt.

Texas Home School Coalition raises $2000 with Global Sporting Safaris

Apr 15, 2011/Austin, Texas/ – Global Sporting Safaris, Inc. (GSS) is pleased to announce that the Texas Home School Coalition event raised over $2,000 for its mission statement through our hunting trip donation program. Their annual dinner event was held Austin, TX, on April 16th, 2011. A group of dedicated volunteers including auctioneer, Rick Norton, put together an outstanding event.

Global Sporting Safaris’ Katie Luthy of Sheridan, donated New Zealand and South African big game safaris.

“This was the first year I had the pleasure of working with the Texas Home School Coalition. With less than two weeks to the event they contacted GSS hoping we’d be able to offer them a donation despite the short notice. GSS was happy to come through for them and offer our hunts at their fundraiser. I look forward to donating to this group again next year,”says Katie Luthy, Global Sporting Safaris consultant.

Global Sporting Safaris raises $2,000 for Cody, WY, RMEF Chapter

Jan 29, 2011/Cody, WY/ – Global Sporting Safaris, Inc. (GSS) is pleased to announce that the Cody, WY, Chapter of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation’s Big Game banquet raised over $2,000 for wildlife and habitat conservation through our hunting trip donation program.  Their annual dinner event was held at the Cody Cattle Company in Cody, Wyoming on January 29, 2011.  A group of dedicated volunteers and chairperson, Deb Herman, put together an outstanding event.  Jill Tonn, RMEF Wyoming Regional Director, assisted the committee in preparation as well as the evening’s events.

Global Sporting Safaris’ Katie Luthy of Sheridan, volunteered at the banquet and donated a big game hunting South African safari in the Limpopo Province.  GSS donated an additional South African Safari during the live auction to help increase the funds raised for the Cody Chapter and the RMEF.

 “As an active and yes, rowdy volunteer for the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, it’s tremendously rewarding to help this chapter raise funds as both a volunteer and a consultant with Global Sporting Safaris.  I’m here to help the RMEF raise money for wildlife and habitat conservation, so I decided to offer a second hunt on the live auction to double the dollars for the RMEF.  I take pride in representing a company that makes it a priority to help these organizations raise funds which are allocated to protect our hunting heritage,”says Katie Luthy, Global Sporting Safaris consultant.
