Report: Global Sporting Safaris Hosted Argentina Duck Hunting Trip to Los Laureles Lodge

I just recently returned from a very special Global Sporting Safaris Hosted Wing Shooting Trip at one of my very favorite places, Los Laurels Lodge located in Entre Rios, Argentina where we can hunt ducks, dove, perdiz and pigeons all from the same lodge. This year, we partnered with TNT Outdoor Adventures and TNT Host Marty Fischer and filmed two Wing Shooting TV shows to be shown on the Mossy Oak Pursuit Channel in the fall of 2010 or the Spring of 2011. Marty stated that he has been to Argentina over 15 times and the Wing Shooting at Los Laureles was perhaps, the best he has ever experienced. He stated that the winter Dove Shooting was the best he has ever experienced anywhere in Argentina.
Los Laureles Lodge is located on the banks of the Paraná River and has all the necessary services to accommodate 12 persons. The Lodge has six deluxe double rooms, all en-suite with private bath w/Jacuzzi bathtubs, a big kitchen, a large dining room with an adjoining grill, a great room with large fireplace, a sitting room with satellite TV and music, a bar, and a river-front view, etc. All Argentina hunting is done very close to the Lodge.
Our GSS/TNT Hosted Hunting Trip was a 5Night/6Day Hunting Trip with five days (two half days and four full days) of hunting Duck, Pigeons, Dove and Perdiz. We always have a round trip charter flight from Buenos Aires to Entre Rios which allows our clients an afternoon hunt on the day of arrival at the Lodge, four full days of hunting, and a morning hunt on the day of departure.
We require that our Hosted clients arrive at least one day early in Buenos Aires for a leisure day and night. We normally set up city tours for those wishing to see Buenos Aires for the first time, and usually have a great steak dinner and a relaxing overnight in a great Buenos Aires hotel. The next morning after breakfast, we have private transportation to the Domestic Airport (25 minutes drive) where we board our charter plane for the flight to Parana Airport and Los Laureles Lodge.
As usual, the Argentina duck hunting in the area was great with limits of 25 ducks per person, normally within the first hour’s hunt every morning. Some of the Argentina we hunt include; Black-headed duck, Brazilian Duck, Cinnamon teal, Red Shoveler, Ringed Teal, Rosy-billed Pochard, Silver teal, Speckled teal, White-cheeked Pintail, White-faced Whistling duck and Yellow-billed Pintail.
The Perdiz Hunting with their well trained dogs is consistently the best I have experienced in Argentina. All hunting is on the ranch property in cut alfalfa and grain fields located 5 -15 minutes from lodge.. We were shooting 16 bird limits for two hunters, usually within 30-60 minutes time.
The Dove Hunting was also only 5-15 minutes from Lodge and was excellent with our clients averaging between 20-50 boxes of shells per 2.0 – 2.5 hour shoots. The Pigeon Hunting was about an hours’ drive from the Lodge, and was very good and a lot of fun. The decoying spot wing pigeon shoots typically produced 90-150 pigeons per two hunter blind in a 2.0 hour shoot.
Our Global Sporting Safaris Hosted Wing Shooting Trips include: meet and greet in Buenos Aires International airport on arrival, and assistance with gun permits, round trip charter flight from/to Buenos Aires, Lodge deluxe accommodations in double-occupancy rooms with private bathrooms, all meals, breakfast, asado barbeque lunches/wine, gourmet dinners served with first-class wines, full open bar/premium liquors, wireless internet service, hunting guides and bird boys, transport to and from hunting locations with boats and trucks, transfer in and out from Parana airport, and assistance with gun permits, check in and customs at all airports.
